In 2013, the Johnny Prill Band celebrated 27 years of volunteering musical entertainment at
Courtney Manor Nursing Home.
The group, which features John Prill Sr., bass, Christopher Prill, violin and Johnny Prill, accordion
and vocals, was honored for their volunteer work during their free Grandparents Day concert on
Sept. 8, at Courtney Manor.
Kay Peruski, Courtney Manor administrator, presented each of the members with three certificates
of appreciation. They included a special recognition certificate from State Sen. Mike Green, which
was also signed by Gov. Rick Snyder, a special recognition certificate from U.S. Sen. Debbie
Stabenow and a special recognition certificate from U.S. Rep. Candice Miller.
Each of the certificates thanked the Prills for their many years of volunteering and dedication to
entertaining the residents of Courtney Manor.
